Fiber Optic Transport Services (DirectTransport)
DWDM, CWDM, SONET Rings, FICON, SCON. Just when do the acronyms end?
Directlink has taken the complex world of Fiber Optic Network Transport
and transformed it into an integrated suite of flexible solutions. Our
solutions, DirectTransport, along with our partner FirstEnergy Telecom,
provides our customers an experienced management and technical base integrated
with an extensive long haul and regional fiber optic network across 7 states
in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest regions of the United States
including Washington D.C. All this is supported by a sophisticated 24/7/365
data center offering colocation and data center integration services.
Our mission at Directlink is to engineer a cost effective, reliable, redundant high-speed
broadband transport capability for our customers that include data, voice (VoIP), and video
across an unlimited fiber optic network supported by Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM.)
We have the ability to provide point-to-point connections through our Point of Presence
locations and Regeneration Stations to include lateral connections to
other Tier 1 carriers as well as provide Ring topology for diverse
reliability for single or dual laterals off-ring.
We have the ability to provide redundant services at twenty-five (25) Tier 1,
Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities using Ring topography. Directlink has the unique
capability to provide extended connectivity through partnership relationships
with both long haul and local carriers. These services can scale to:
DS-1 (1.544 Mbps), DS-3 (45 Mbps) and OC-x (155-622 Mbps)
We have the ability to transparently connect a customer's LANs cost effectively,
simply and securely. These connections will seamlessly run on a variety of
Ethernet-based Internet access or transport-only products at speeds from
10 Mbps to 100 Mbps to Gigabit of Ethernet transport.
We offer an extensive inventory of site locations
throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. The network services more
than 36,000 square miles with 14,700 miles of transmission lines, radio towers,
real estate, right-of-ways and more. Our specialty provides zoning-friendly sites
that minimize network-build-out time while controlling cost.
We have the capability of implementing many of
our Telecommunications Services through Wireless deployment, such as:
- Point-to-Point radio for Ethernet networks, Internet Access, or other private network needs
- First/last mile solutions in combination with Fiber deployment or Wireless.
- Vast inventory of towers, distribution poles, and ROW facilitate Wireless network deployment
